Qatar’s hospitality scene is on par with its burgeoning neighbours, boasting top-notch accommodation options. Recently, it welcomed a new addition: Four Seasons The Pearl-Qatar — which opened its doors in Doha in November 2023. While Four Seasons Hotel Doha, situated along the Corniche, has long been a firm favourite in the Gulf state, the opening of Four Seasons The Pearl-Qatar signifies the brand’s expansion into the region. And FACT had a chance to explore this property.

Nestled within Doha’s Pearl District — an artificial island with a rich pearl diving history — Four Seasons The Pearl-Qatar offers a luxurious stay amidst views of the Arabian Peninsula. Situated near tourist spots like the Qanat Quartier, popularly known as the Venice of Qatar, and the French architecture-inspired Vendome Mall, the hotel boasts a prime location for exploration.

As you step inside, you’ll be taken away by Four Seasons The Pearl-Qatar’s exquisite interior. Glass archways adorned with gold metal curves draw your gaze, leading you into the lobby. Crisp and clean, the space features panelled roofs illuminated with soft lighting. The wooden walls and minimalist furnishings in beige and neutral tones offer the perfect peripheral view of the outdoors, where slender palm trees lead the way to the beach. Dominating the centre of the lobby is a large table adorned with bright blooms — reminiscent of the floral installations we found at Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre.

With a total of 245 keys, Four Seasons The Pearl-Qatar features 84 private residences, including luxurious penthouses, alongside 161 guest apartments. These spacious accommodations are designed for extended stays and are available in one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom configurations. Each unit boasts a balcony offering stunning views, whether of the sea, the city, or a blend of both. While residents and guests share the same elevators to access their respective floors, separate front desks are provided to ensure seamless convenience.

Luxurious Living

FACT checked into a one-bedroom apartment with a city view that offered glimpses of dhows in the water and the Doha skyline. With its white walls adorned with panelled details, stepping into the apartment felt like entering a cosy home. 

The bedroom featured a king bed with a backlit headboard echoing the colours of the living area. The carpeting, in shades of blue and grey, continued the theme. A dressing table — with Dyson hair tools — a study desk, and additional TV provided convenience and entertainment, while the attached balcony allowed for uninterrupted views. 

The bathroom contained a ceramic tub for soaks, a separate shower and toilet area for privacy, and a marble-top sink. Toiletries by Diptyque added a final touch of opulence, emphasising Four Seasons’ commitment to luxury.

The spacious living area was a vision of comfort and style, featuring a plush four-seater sofa set in soothing beige tones complemented by hints of blue and grey in the cushions and carpeting. With a chic coffee table and convenient side table, the space was perfect for hosting gatherings or enjoying quiet moments with family.  A mounted TV provided entertainment while matching vases filled with fresh flowers and Four Seasons coffee books added an extra touch of sophistication. Wooden floors added warmth and elegance to the space. 

The fully equipped kitchen, complete with utensils, cookware, and a stocked refrigerator, ensured that every culinary need was catered to — whether you feel like cooking up a storm or want the Chef in the Room experience, where a skilled chef whips up your favourite cuisine right before your eyes. The dining area boasted a modern and minimalist set of wooden tables and chairs, accompanied by a well-stocked bar offering your favourite beverages. 

Gourmet Dining

At Four Seasons The Pearl-Qatar, culinary delights await on the ground floor. Spuntino, the all-day dining restaurant — with a thriving brunch scene — offers delectable and authentic Italian cuisine. Plus, with both indoor seating and air-conditioned outdoor seating, you can enjoy your meal without breaking a sweat.

For a refreshing poolside dining experience, Loulou Plage offers international cuisine that perfectly complements the sunny ambience. Meanwhile, the Duchess invites guests to savour an elegant afternoon tea.

For those seeking a taste of French and Mediterranean cuisine, La Méditerraneé Robuchon boasts a staff trained by Joël Robuchon himself. With the finest cuisine and live music, the dishes served here are nothing short of spectacular.

Four Seasons The Pearl-Qatar also recently opened Chicago Rare Steakhouse, serving up the finest cuts in the country. With Prohibition Era decor and live jazz music, this dining experience is as immersive as it is delicious.

The property will soon welcome One Eighty Cocktail Bar and Lounge, where expertly crafted cocktails will set the tone for a fun night out in the city.

Recreation and Relaxation

Four Seasons The Pearl-Qatar offers a plethora of amenities designed to elevate your stay. The Four Seasons’ signature Pearl Spa, named after its Arabic translation, the LouLou Spa, offers a selection of treatments.

Three swimming pools occupy the property: an impressive 25-metre-long indoor pool, an adults-only outdoor pool, and a dedicated kids’ and family pool. The private beach offers a picturesque setting for a leisurely stroll or a dip in the open waters. For those who like to stay active, the state-of-the-art fitness centre is open 24/7.

Families are well taken care of with the Kids For All Seasons area — both, indoor and outdoor — where little ones can enjoy activities under the supervision of trained staff.
